McKay Lodge won the contract from a wide field of conservators to restore the Tiffany-designed Veteran’s Room in the Park Avenue Armory in New York, one of the few surviving interiors by Louis C. Tiffany & Co..
Conservator Jim Gwinner cleaned and repaired the metal elements of the room which include chain maille radiator covers, the Venetian fireplace rack and the raised metal wall panels.
Work was done in situ on some objects and on the McKay Lodge complex in Oberlin, Ohio on others. The work was completed in January, 2016. For more information, go to http://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/10/arts/design/park-avenue-armory-to-restore-tiffany-designed-veterans-room.html?_r=0
