SPONSOR AND SPEAKER – PUBLIC ART NETWORK PRECONFERENCE

McKay Lodge, Inc. was a financial sponsor of the 2013 Americans for the Arts conference held in Pittsburgh, PA.

In addition, company president Robert Lodge was a speaker at the associated Public Art Network (PAN) Preconference; and as well, the company sponsored the fabulous PAN Preconference dinner at Pittsburgh’s Mattress Factory which turned out to be a wildly attended, well-served and entertaining event thanks to the fun people at Pittsburgh Public Art.

The company has been long involved with Pittsburgh Public Art of the Pittsburgh Arts Council as well as with the city’s outdoor sculpture collection, so it was fitting to give this neighbor’s hosting of the conferences our best support.

Robert Lodge and Jerry Marinzel, Project Manager for the Port Authority of Allegheny County, presented the work of relocating and restoring Romare Bearden’s 13 foot x 60 foot tile mural Pittsburgh Recollections during the city public art tour.

McKay Lodge Conservation Laboratory, Inc. is a member of Americans for the Arts.

Robert Lodge and Jim Gwinner attended both conferences.
