Keeping up with the demands of art conservation projects sometimes means acquiring new conservation equipment.
We purchased a new Ford F350 extended body cargo van to join our earlier two identical model vans to make a company fleet of three. We use these vans to transport art and historic objects, and haul our tools and materials to project locations, sometimes locations 2-3 days drive away. Beyond that we ship our tools and materials and rent trucks and passenger vehicles locally.
These vans also pull our two trailers, one an open 6-ton trailer and the other an enclosed trailer. Because of our sometimes high gross vehicle weight with trailer attached, all our vehicles and drivers are now fully compliant with the DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
