We would like to share an article from the South Bend Tribune by Margaret Fosmoe for one of McKay Lodge Conservation Laboratory’s upcoming historic fountain restoration projects: The Studebaker Electric Fountain.
Work on the fountain will begin in early 2019 and McKay Lodge Conservation Laboratory is overseeing the project. It will involve refurbishing existing elements, creating missing pieces from original molds in cast iron, relocating the fountain, and installing new lighting.
